What’s In My Park Bag: Portable Charger

If you’re on the go, travelling to your favorite destinations, you know that battery power for all your devices can be in short supply. In my gear bag, I have a GoPro, digital camera, wireless ear buds, and my Samsung Galaxy S10+ (not to mention a bunch of accessories for those devices).

My solution? Anker’s PowerCore 20000 Redux. This lightweight wonder only weighs 12.8 oz. and is roughly the size of a king size candy bar. It has two USB ports that are compatible with most any phone, tablet, or small electronic accessory. It takes about 8 hours to charge it when it’s empty, but it will charge a smart phone 4-5 times off that single charge. Anker’s website mentions the ability to charge an iPad Pro nearly 2 full times as well.

With the dual ports, you can charge two devices at once. I’ve found this super handy because you can charge two phones or a phone and a camera at the same time. This PowerCore charger includes Anker’s PowerIQ technology along with Anker MultiProtect. Trickle-charging also works automatically for charging smaller devices, like a pair of wireless earbuds.

As with other Anker PowerCore chargers I own, this one comes with a handy mesh storage bag and a short USB charging cable. You can buy it here on Amazon for just $49.99.

If there’s anything I made sure I grab before heading out on a trip, it’s this handy gadget!
